Joe Rogan has lauded the “amazing” ONE Championship’s Friday Fights 34 main event between “two masters of the art” in Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmookao, as CEO Chatri Sityodtong touted over “100 million viewers” for the blockbuster Muay Thai bout.
The UFC commentator and podcast extraordinaire hailed martial arts organisation ONE after a thrilling fight at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok last weekend, where Superlek won a unanimous decision.It had been billed as “the biggest fight in Muay Thai in 50 years” by Chatri, and did not fail to deliver – despite a late switch from five to three rounds after Superlek missed weight by 5lbs, with Rodtang’s ONE flyweight Muay Thai title no longer on the line.
“Out of all the combat sports out there, Muay Thai has the biggest untapped potential in the western world,” Rogan wrote in an Instagram post after the fight.
