The hope for a rebound and prosperity brought about a wave of positive energy.The Hong Kong government also unveiled numerous ambitious plans to revive the economy, epitomised by the slogan “ Hong Kong is back”. However, the harsh reality has set in: high interest rates, sluggish exports and a lacklustre stock market.
Nevertheless, I am not worried about this reality, as it is beyond our control. What concerns me is the substance of our plans and policies. Hong Kong has never lacked ambition. We have introduced many grand ideas.
